Ride Connection is a private non-profit organization that provides transportation options, services, and resources for older adults and people with disabilities by coordinating services of over 30 different community partners. Last fiscal year, Ride Connection provided over 370,000 rides to over 10,200 individuals. The services that Ride Connection provides are largely volunteer based and are no cost to the customer, but donations are gladly accepted.
Access to transportation is vital to helping older adults and people with disabilities to maintain their independence and remain active in their communities. Many of our community members are not be able to take full advantage of services because they lack dependable transportation. Ride Connection provides essential transportation for all trip purposes, including errands like grocery shopping and banking. In addition, Ride Connection and its partners provide trips to places like local senior centers, offering up a way to combat social isolation.
In order to utilize the service, call our Service Center Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm at 503-226-0700. The first time you call, you will need to register by answering a few easy questions. When you’re ready to schedule a ride, we ask that you call four days in advance. We will then call you back to confirm your ride.
