About the Hillside Neighborhood
Hillside Neighborhood is located in the west hills of Portland, Oregon. It is also frequently referred to as “Kings Heights”. It is bordered by NW Cornell Road (to the north), NW Westover (to the east), West Burnside (to the south), and NW Barnes Road, NW 48th Avenue, and NW Hilltop Road (to the west). Neighborhood Attractions
Hillside Neighborhood is adjacent to both the Northwest District, home to many boutiques and restaurants, and the city’s largest urban park, Forest Park. Nearby local attractions include Washington Park with its institutions such as the Oregon Zoo, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, and World Forestry Center.
Hillside Community Center is located in the heart of the Hillside Neighborhood. It was designed by famed architect Pietro Belluschi and features meeting spaces, a soccer field, a tennis court, a children’s playground and an indoor gymnasium with full-court basketball and a rock-climbing wall.
